Monday 7th

Get down to Pivo Pivo to catch the quite zany, but extremely intriguing Galoshins for free.

Tuesday 8th

Quite the line up at the Captains Rest. French Wives infectious folk and Trapped In Kansas post-math-rock should make for an eclectic but brilliant night. Emma Curran should be well worth an early arrival also.

Kid Canaveral have just released their great new single You Only Went Out To Get Drunk Last Night and they’re playing a free acoustic show at Bloc+. The excellent Lovers Turn To Monsters is also playing so it should be a great night.

Another stellar acoustic lineup. I’ve just heard Andrew Lindsay and he is definitely one to check out, while I’m a big fan of Shambles who’ll be featuring on the blog soon.

Wednesday 9th

Mitchell Museum are really starting to take off with their brilliant brand of indie pop so now is the time to catch them in a venue this size. Support for the night is really strong with some top-notch electronica from GRNR, and the brilliantly inventive Inspector Tapehead.

Thursday 10th

This event is in support of Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. It’s a great line up, making it very easy to support this very worthy cause. Cold Blooded Clarity have organised the night and will also be on the decks. Check their website for more info. I just noticed what they did with the name there…

Friday 11th

A weekend of free music in The halt bar starts on Friday with a fantastic line up. It’s a great venue + spending the whole weekend there would not be a bad idea. More details below.

Saturday 12th

Sunday 13th

The West End Festival starts this week and the first line up that caught my attention was this great line up of folk acts in the intimate Brel.
