Let’s Talk About Trees is a project started by Washington Irving‘s Chris McGarry and Kieran Heather, which apparently came about due to a drunk dare, but has grown into something a lot more.

The album launch at Stereo on 20th November, where you can pick up one of only 50 handmade copies of the concept album.

‘Expect an extravagant live show, full of props, moving images projected on many (probably just one) walls, people dressed as trees (this is encouraged for all guests) an…d a fantastic night.’

Have a listen to the fantastic Lumberjack’s Lament below.

Check out this wonderful Halloween themed video for Apparitions by Fiction Faction. Apparently it only cost £50 to make, which is a complete bargain.

In other Fiction Faction news, their track A Lot Can Happen On A Summers Day has been shortlisted by Eli and Oz for a future release. The approach to selecting the final release is something very new, with a group of Scottish music industry workers voting on their favourite from the nominees.

French Wives have had a good week; they just landed the inaugural Radar Prize with their winning submission of Halloween, and supported Mystery Jets at the ABC. Here’s footage of the gig, with the end of Halloween, and some Covered In Grace.
