Jonnie Common answered the questions for Recommended #9 which means it is the turn of Panda Su.
Who are you recommending? and why?
I Build Collapsible Mountains.
We only have good things to say about Luke G Joyce’s new guise, I Build Collapsible Mountains, whose debut album, ‘A Month Of Lost Memories’, sees him swap his Gothenberg electric-ridden ways, for a sweet sounding acoustic geetar. His songs are simplistic, unpredictable and utterly beguiling.
How would you describe the music?
Bittersweet and thought provoking. Each song tells a story that you wish would never end and Luke’s voice emits a gravelly sweetness which is sure to lure in listeners the length and breadth of the country.
How did you discover this artist?
Luke got in touch to ask if I wanted to do some vocals on one of his tracks.
How would you describe the live experience?
We’ve not had the chance to experience the dulcet tones of Mr Joyce live yet, but he’s playing some shows with us this month so we’ll get our fix then.
If you had to suggest one of their songs to start someone off with what would it be?
Songs ‘Easily Led’ and ‘To The Dark’ (below) are our favourites and are nothing short of compelling. Perfect listening after a long, hot day on the farm.
A big thanks to Panda Su for the recommendation.
