This Silent Forest – Falter Discover

Posted on March 3, 2011

This Silent Forest release debut single Falter Discover (below) on March 7th. It’s a stirring introduction to the Glasgow-based 6 piece that easily brushes aside the indie-folk leanings to let a massive display of pop grandeur take over.

With such a musical backdrop frontman Squirrel could be singing about the woes of having a scelf in his finger and it would still seem heartfelt. Luckily he’s not and the vocal laments sit perfectly in their surroundings.

The band is very kindly donating 10p from every single sold to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, which is a great cause.

I’m a bit late with this, but the band are having a launch gig in Stereo tonight (March 3rd) with support from Blochestra and Donald Macdonald and the Islands. I would highly recommend getting your arse in gear and heading along.
