There’s a lot going on with Admiral Fallow right now. The band is in America for SXSW, have a brand spanking new website, and are seeing their brilliant debut album, Boots Met My Face, get re-released nationwide. As the re-release contains an additional track the band have decided to give it away for FREE on their website, and they have also just posted a shiny new video for Squealing Pigs.
Esperi recently made this lovely video for Lone Wolf, which will be appearing on his upcoming album. He was joined by Alex Kenzel on vox, Cat Calton on Violin, Ruth Campbell on cello, and Halina Rifai on camera. It was shot in a park in Glasgow, giving it a lovely backdrop, and the surprising element of no bams running about with bucky in the shot.
Haight Ashbury are releasing Here In The Golden Rays in Europe and will be heading out on tour in support of the album. As a precursor they shot a video for one of the highlights from the LP, Freeman Town.
Inverness trio He Slept On 57 are doing a Scottish tour in April, including dates in Aberdeen and Edinburgh with Sucioperro. All the details are the website. They have also just posted this video for Where The Air Is Thin, from last year’s A Glow From The Night Light EP.
Little Yellow Ukuleles unfortunately announced last week that they were calling it a day, and played their final show on Saturday. It’s pretty sad to see such a good band split up, but they have assured us it wont be the last we’ll hear of them. Here’s a video of them playing Mix Up Mayhem last year if you fancy reminiscing.
Last Thursday saw the latest installment of the Peenko Sessions in the snug setting of the Hidden Lane Cafe. I was meant to attend until a last-minute fuck up, but luckily the sessions are recorded by Light Up Glasgow’s Skyline (who also did The Yooks video above) and this video of Michael Cassidy has been posted as a teaser to a load of content which will appear over on Peenko.
