Errors released new single Magna Encarta last week, and while it looks like the limited edition CD’s have sold out, you can still download the track. The guys are doing pretty well at selling out stuff, as the video below demonstrates, with them playing the single live for the first time to a sold out Nice N Sleazy’s.
Things seem to be going well for Michael Cassidy at the moment; yesterday he had the double whammy of supporting Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly in Newcastle, and making his debut on radio 1 when Ally McCrae gave Everybody’s Scared a spin. The Paisley- based singer-songwriter is definitely one to keep an eye on.
PAWS and Bronto Skylift went on tour together at the end of last year, and thankfully the former took along a camera. Shot on a Super 8, the video shows some of the happenings of the tour with some PAWS tunage for good measure. If you were unable to catch the two bands together on that tour then you will get another chance this month, as both are playing Tut’s for the St Deluxe single launch. More details on that soon.
Shooting Stansfield‘s Endeavour EP got reviewed on the blog last week – which you can read here – in the build up to it’s launch tomorrow. The band are playing Maggie’s Chamber’s (Edinburgh) and you will be able to pick up a copy on the night. One of the highlights of the release is the title track, which sounds great stripped down.
The Seventeenth Century went on tour in Holland recently and recorded a version of Mid October for Haarlem Music Sessions. The track will be on their second EP, due out May 2nd, as will Banks Of Home which you can hear on Bandcamp now.
Weather Barn released new single The Boat Ride through Kittiwake Records last week, and it has a cracking 50’s inspired video to accompany it. The Aberdeen outfit have hit one out the park with this feel good track, and you can download it from iTunes now.
