In:Auteurs – Russian Cameras

Posted on May 27, 2011

In:Auteurs are an extremely new band from Ayshire, that instantly grabbed my attention with the first track they put out into the world, Russian Cameras (below).

One of the big reasons it appeals is that I didn’t expect it to go where it did; like a good thriller movie it set up the scene, only to completely throw me.

About halfway through it has one of those sun bursting through the cloud moments, clearing away the dark beginning and turning into a massive ray of hope, with vast post-rock guitars, and a chanted epiphany that will bury itself in your head.

Russian Cameras is one of my favourite tracks of the year so far, and is a fantastic way for In:Auteurs to introduce themselves to the world.

So new are the four piece that they are yet to play live, but this should be remedied soon with a debut EP nearing completion, and live shows to accompany its release in (hopefully) June.

You can download Russian Cameras, and another track, for FREE from any of the links below.

A big thanks must go to Yvonne McLellan for introducing me to the band.
