Conquering Animal Sound have released new single Tracer today. It is a newly recorded version of what is probably my favourite track from debut album Kammerspiel, and comes with remixes by Dems, Alex Tobin, FOUND and Voltage Black. You can purchase the tracks here for £1 or more if you’d like.
Discopolis are quite the buzz band since they claimed a spot at this year’s T Break, and now they have a new video out. If you like When Ghosts Get Angry, which you really should as it’s a belter, you should head over to their Soundcloud for a load more tracks and FREE downloads.
Friends In America are another new outfit that is setting tongues wagging. The band have been in the studio as of late working on an EP/mini album for the near future, but if you can’t wait till then you will be able to get hold of the brilliant You’re on the upcoming compilation, The Tollbooth Sessions (hopefully more on that soon).
Here’s a wee 2-for-1 deal now, with videos of Bwani Junction and Otherpeople from the last installment of new band night Milk. Milk has had some fantastic line up’s so far, and this Wednesday is no different, with John Know Sex Club and Cheesecake (members of Frightened Rabbit, Union Of Knives and Galchen) playing at Flat 0/1.
PAWS were shooting a video at the weekend, and asked for volunteers to turn up with booze and masks. The video is for the band’s upcoming split single release on the fantastic Gerry Loves Records (of which you’ll definitely be hearing about on the blog soon), and you can be sure I’ll get it on here when it is, as this sneak footage of filming suggests it was chaos.
Apparently Tragic O’Hara managed to make a guitar out of an old cigar box, a piece of wood, and a bolt, and then set about making some tunes with it. Very Seasick Steve. If you’re curious as to what the results were then just have a look below.
