The Detour fellas have been on a bit of a festival tour this summer, and most recently hit up Belladrum. This is the first part of the festival diary and there’s another two up for you to peruse on youtube.
It was back in March that Ayr’s Little Fire appeared on the STV’s The Hour, but the video is now up online so I thought I’d share it. The track is All I Need In Life and you can have a good swatch of the Mcmanus at the start too.
Milk Maid recently signed to the awesome Fat Cat Records, and on a trip to Scotland did a session for the also awesome Song, By Toad. There’s a host of videos on the SBT website, and here’s the band playing Stir So Slow to get you started.
Over The Wall played Milk last week and were caught on camera playing a new track to me, Gimmie Five, on the steps of Flat 0/1. Not content with going around Britain in 80 days, the band have some great new dates up on their website.
PAWS are well known for their raucus stage shows, and it looks like they’re getting even livelier these days. This is footage of the band playing in Aberdeen recently when they were on tour in support of their recent split release with Lady North. You can still purchase that from the brilliant Gerry Loves Records.
I’ve been really shit at making it to gigs recently, and I’m particularly gutted I missed The Staves on Monday. This is a lovely video of the trio playing a house show for Songs From A Room, which is a site full of fantastic intimate performances.
