Videos of the Week

Shot Down You Summer Wannabes by Adam Stafford was one of Songs of the Year in 2010, so you’d probably think I’d be sick of it by now. I’m not.

This sharp video video shows how the song is constructed – with only a loop pedal and Adam’s voice – and also gets some Stafford moves on the silver screen. Result.

Things have been quiet of late round here, otherwise there would have been a review of the Leviathon EP by The Son(s) for sure. If I Here You Talk Apostrophes Again… is taken from the short player and continues a run of brilliance from our secretive friend.

The EP is out on Olive Grove Records and can be purchased on Bandcamp now.

The Winter Tradition have been quiet for a while, but that’s all about to change with the release of new single San Diego on Monday. It’s available through Kittiwake Records and should be live on Bandcamp to purchase after the weekend.

The track is taken from the upcoming debut album, Gradients, and I’m sure you’ll here plenty from it when the band headline LAID at Bloc on 30th May.

Video by Puppy Fat Films.

Kitty The Lion have also been quite quiet of late, and this is also going to change. The band is giving away new single Duck! for a tweet or facebook post, so it’s basically FREE, and if you head to the shiney new website you’ll find out exactly what to do.

The video was shot by Oscar Sansom.
